I'm in the process of uploading a lot of pictures to flickr, and I'll update the flickr feed for the blog as soon as it's done. (It will take a while for me to go through and tag/label the pictures, however.)
Vindya has had good days and bad days. Roberta brought her girls over yesterday to play, and they had a wonderful time. (Vindya refers to her younger girl, Olivia, as "Hallelujah," which seems appropriate if you know her.)
Then we went over to Lou's house for Vindya's first piano lesson. This followed immediately after LiJun's most recent piano lesson, and having her sister leave without her drove Vindya over the edge. She screamed, howled, pinched, hit, bit and trashed the kitchen. (Although, as Lou's daughter observed, she didn't actually throw anything she thought was breakable.) When her sister came back, she was all smiles. She and I went in for the lesson and she did fine for about ten minutes. Lou thinks that she was having too much fun, and suddenly got scared that I was going to leave her there. It's possible, but afterwards we had ice cream and Vindya was very excited to go home and sleep. She lay down with LiJun (not me!!!) and was sound asleep in five minutes.
I got an hour or so of sleep before LiJun pushed in next to me, and we both slept until 5:30-ish when Vindya pushed in on the other side. I gave up and slipped out, and they pushed up against each other quite happily, giving me another hour or so on the couch downstairs.
It isn't that I'm sleepy, as much as it is that I have no energy left at all. My parents are coming in about an hour, and I'm hoping that will let me recover somewhat.
In the meantime, I leave you with a picture of LiJun's careful coaching and what she can do.

Fangster wanted Maui to come to the computer to see the pictures of Vindya with Lillie. But, he was too comfy. Good to have updates.
ReplyDeleteThose dimples are just too much--she sure looks much more at peace that she did a few weeks ago. And Lilly looks pretty good too.
