I'm sorry I haven't posted for a couple of days. Miss Vindya has been very active. This is usually positive (she's not really acting out), but she demands my full attention for all working hours. Right now, I have her set up to watch Telugu cartoons, which should give me enough time to type.
Just a few quick notes:
1) If I can't come home because the FAA isn't working due to government shut downs, I will NOT be responsible for the consequences. (I have no idea how likely this is, but the news channels here keep talking about it.)
2) @Steve - Come to my arms, my beamish boy! That's also my instinctive cry of joy, and it's nice to know that someone else appreciates the classics. Also, we are well and truly into the monsoon, so you called that one, as well.

Most of the FAA is running (controllers, etc.) It's FAA Airport construction that's halted, not flights.
