I called the DWDCW at 11, as instructed, and Mrs. A2 told me that the director was available, so I should come in. I told her that I would call a car and come immediately. I did this, and the car came in about half an hour. Unfortunately, he didn't know where to go, and I finally had him call the Department on his mobile and get directions from them.
I showed up at the office, and Mrs. A2 and Mrs. X (I asked her name; it's Mrs. N from now on) had a somewhat heated exchange in Telugu. Mrs. N walked me over to the director's office, where we were told that today is her first full day, she is very busy, but at 3 o'clock she will see whoever is in her waiting area. Mrs. N asked me to return at 3. I asked if I should go straight to the director's office, or to the adoption office. She said adoption office, and then she will walk me over and talk to the secretary/gatekeeper.
So, having nothing else to do, I'm back at my hotel for another hour or so. I'm not happy about this. I have yet to see Mrs. S, and I don't know if she received Deb's e-mail, or what she thought of it. We'll have to see what happens.
